About Women in Streaming Media

As a global networking organization, our mission is to increase diversity and give more visibility to women leaders within the streaming media industry. To do this, Women in Streaming Media (WSM) will create forums and events to connect women, provide mentorship and internship programs to increase and grow women’s participation in the industry and in leadership roles, and promote other opportunities to help women achieve their professional goals.

Our Board of Directors has deep expertise in streaming media and is passionate about developing the future of the industry.

Alicia Pritchett

 

 

President & Founding Board Member

​

Alicia Pritchett is a Founder and serves as President of Women in Streaming Media (WSM) which has grown from 50 to almost 1400 women. She is a lover of people and technology leader. For nearly 30 years she has found her passion in raising two adults, immersing herself in the technology industry, serving her community and her customers. A life-long learner, Alicia has a strong passion to be the conduit that allows organizations to become more efficient and profitable by maximizing resources, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.

As the key strategist for Media & Entertainment at Fastly, Alicia has been instrumental in cultivating the company’s largest and most well-known clients over the last 9 years. She stood on the podium next to Fastly’s Founder and CEO, Artur Bergman, to ring the Closing Bell to celebrate the First Day of Trading as a public company. Alicia was a founding member of Fastly’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and has also driven the Steering Committees for the Women’s ERG as well as the Black ERG.

Alicia serves as President for the Streaming Video Technology Alliance and formerly served as a Chair of the Live Streaming Working Group. She speaks across the world on streaming trends, diversity, skills, talent and the future of technology. One of her webinars, “Diversity, Skills & Talent”, built around the core challenge of creating a deep and inclusive grassroots pool of rich engineering talent for the future, was published with IBC as a leading industry trend.

Megan Wagoner

Vice President of Board, Head of Mentorship Program

Megan Wagoner is a highly accomplished technical executive with over 17 years of experience spanning services, software, hardware, and cloud sectors throughout the media & entertainment industry.

​

She currently serves as Vice President, Media & Entertainment Sales at Endeavor Streaming, where she initiates, develops and manages internal and external relationships within the vertical across the US and LATAM markets. Before joining Endeavor Streaming, Megan served as Regional Vice President of Media & Entertainment for Bitmovin, a global software company within the video streaming market. Prior to Bitmovin, Megan held various executive roles at global technology leaders such as Vimond Media Solutions, Imagine Communications (formerly Harris), and Nexstar.

​

Megan holds a master’s in business administration from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from Anderson University.

Megan Davies

Head of Membership & Community

 

Megan Davies is an International Marketing & Communications Leader with extensive experience in the tech and media industries. She studied Classical Studies and French at the University of Exeter and holds a Level 6 Award in Digital Strategy from The Chartered Institute of Marketing.

​

Megan’s expertise lies in creating international go-to-market strategies, building communities, and running kick ass events.

​

She has held various roles in International marketing at Fastly and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and prior to that she was at Discovery Channel in the Corporate Communications division.

Florence Agboma

Head Speaker Engagement

​

Florence Agboma is a Senior Manager – Video Experience at Sky, which is a division of Comcast, and headquartered in London. She has over 17 years of experience in the streaming industry and consumer-facing products. She drives video optimisations and creates video experiences within the streaming delivery chain for OTT delivery.


Florence holds a PhD degree in Computing and Electronics Systems from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. She has written several technical publications on streaming video in journals and conference proceedings. She currently serves as Chair of the Live Streaming Working Group within the Streaming Video Technology Alliance.

Polly Hickling

Head of Education

​

Working in academia since 2009, Polly has spent the majority of her career delivering Media Technology graduates to the industry whilst working as the course leader for Solent Universities Media Technology programme. Since Sept 2022 she has been working as the Learning and Development Lead for Media at Eviden.


During the last few years her focus on resolving issues surrounding the educational pipeline and diversity and inclusivity has seen her sit on boards for several organisations as a SMPTE Education Director, a SMPTE UK Manager, a IET Media Network Committee member and the Head of Education for Women in Streaming Media.
